Purpose of The Point Youth Ministry

The purpose of The Point Youth Ministry is five fold and is based on two passages of scripture that come straight from the mouth of Jesus.

The Great Commandment

“Jesus answered," 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands." – Matthew 22:37-40

The Great Commission

“So go and make followers of all people in the world. Baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.” – Matthew 28:19-20

The 5 purposes for The Point Youth Ministry:

1. Live (Fellowship): “Baptizing them.”

2. Learn (Discipleship): “Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you.”

3. Love God (Worship): “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”

4. Love People (Ministry): “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

5. Change the World (Evangelism): “Go and make followers of all people in the world.”
